Monday

Hobbystreak day 506 (Monday 20 May 2024).

Built the 500th Issue of White Dwarf mini. Also found my half painted version of the last one they did of him.

Tuesday

Hobbystreak day 507 (Tuesday 21 May 2024).

More work on The White Dwarf. Oddly he’s not overloaded with details, but his base is instead.

Wednesday

Hobbystreak day 508 (Wednesday 22 May 2024).

Did some experimenting with skin on The White Dwarf. From a base of Bright Shadow Flesh, which is one of the new Pro-Acryl colours in the Adepticon paint set I highlighted up to a mix with some tan flesh in a couple of stages. Worked well for the Dwarf but looks wrong on a marine.

Thursday

Hobbystreak day 509 (Thursday 23 May 2024).

Does building a Lego castle count as hobby progress? I’m counting it. I say build but I got 4 bags into 30odd and I have no idea where I’m going to put it.

FINE! I’ll paint something then.

I’ve decided I need to get a nice dedicated airbrushing setup going so that I don’t need to spend time getting it ready. Not that I do that now, but that’s the problem. My marines could certainly do with being airbrushed for time.

Hobbystreak day 510 (Friday 24 May 2024).

Bit more on The Dwarf. Nearly done now.

Saturday

Hobbystreak day 511 (Saturday 25 May 2024).

I’ve still got a mountain of goblins to paint so I should concentrate on them next. Did some more on the dwarf and spent some time on variation 2001 of paint storage with an acrylic rack for the wall. All I need to do now is deal with drilling holes in my walls, which are made of the finest Welsh stone and nearly indestructible.

Sunday

Hobbystreak day 512 (Sunday 26 May 2024).

Calling the Dwarf done and moving over to goblins with the goal of getting all 20 finished by the end of the month.

I also decided to actually use the airbrush and undercoated some more Stormcast models using Vallejo black primer. I’m sure it won’t peel off for me this time.
