Monday

Hobbystreak day 450 (25 March 2024).

More work on the site and Mindless Zombies.

I’ve been doing some more looking into alternate models for Malifaux and I think I’m going to stick to what cards seem to have been available. The question comes when there are cards in their dropbox that don’t match the ones that I got in boxes, so I think that some of them were put there before their new boxes released with updated cards maybe? But at the same time there are some cards for old M2E models as well which count. I assume they came in the packs of cards for upgrading your game from 2 to 3.

Tuesday

Hobbystreak day 451 (26 March 2024).

Played some Malifaux on Vassal last night and I have to say I’ve not missed that early Java UI feel of apps. Still, it worked reasonably well and the only real problem was having to use the phone app as well in order to track everything and see the cards.

I played The Dreamer and that resulted in my building his core box today. I need to undercoat the next batch of minis anyway so they’re as good as any. Lord Chompy Bits sure is a large model though, isn’t he?

I’m printing out some Gridfinity parts to organise my desk. My printer will do a 5x5 base and a 1x2 bin can hold the cards for the Malifaux models on my desk.

Hobbystreak day 452 (27 March 2024).

Never try and maintain a list of all Malifaux models. You’ll go insane.

Ticking more bits off on the pile of Goblin Mindless Zombie models.

Thursday

Hobbystreak day 453 (28 March 2024).

Fixed my automatic lookup so that the link to Mindless Zombies yesterday works. Still more coding than painting it seems. I also sorted being able to link to images automatically again and displaying my painted models. There’s no way of knowing which are painted, which I need to think about as being able to see which crews I can field is a nice feature. Then I need to catch up on the photography…

Friday

Hobbystreak day 454 (29 March 2024).

Finished all the mindless zombies which clears my bench up for the next project, which is The Dreamer and his core box. I’m also doing the iconic version of him (small version) at the same time because why not?

First up was slapping some Dark Blue on the three Alp , then some Burgundy for the cloth. They shouldn’t take too long to paint…

Built up the Mecharachnid , Steam Arachnid Swarm and Steam Arachnid models from their box as well. They should be quick to paint!

Saturday

Hobbystreak day 455 (30 March 2024).

Arachnids are now all silver with a wash and I’ve put the base coat down on their bases.

Did a bit of end of month work too, like polishing off on a couple of Marines.

Sunday

Hobbystreak day 456 (31 March 2024).

And that’s another month finished and somehow I’ve pained 24 models this month. Started Coppelius and Lord Chompy Bits today.
