Monday

Hobbystreak day 576 (Monday 29 July 2024).

Necromunda scenery assembly and magnet gluing. Why am I magnetising them? Because I can, not because I think it’ll be that useful. Unless…

Sprayed a Stormcast with a paler gold than usual (Vallejo Metal Color Gold) and I think I like it. This new batch will be that lighter colour. The goal for Skaventide is to get the two Spearhead forces pained.

Tuesday

Hobbystreak day 577 (Tuesday 30 July 2024).

3D printed a load of bases for AoS and started to explore the world of Necromunda printable scenery.

Wednesday

Hobbystreak day 578 (Wednesday 31 July 2024).

Heard about these printable templates for painting None Mortalis and so I’m giving them a go. They also do some for the floors, but none for the walls (yet?). If they work then they’ll be well worth the cost/filament in saved time.

Might try printing some of the other ZM compatible files I’ve found, but I’ll swap out the nozzle on the printer down to 0.2 first. Which means because that’s a faff I’ll get some of the other faster prints I’ve been putting off out of the way first. I need some more Gridfinity bits printed for a start. You’d think that all this storage printing would actually make things tidier wouldn’t you?

I also need to sort out my photography area.

Thursday

Hobbystreak day 579 (Thursday 1 August 2024).

Printed some more templates for painting Necromunda scenery and worked on my colour choices.

Friday

Hobbystreak day 580 (Friday 2 August 2024).

Is there anything more annoying than a 3D printer that just won’t print right? Spent all day trying to print something and can’t figure out why no matter what I change it doesn’t fix it.

Did a bit more on the Skaven in order to get them finished this weekend. Too many half painted minis on my desk again.

Saturday

Hobbystreak day 581 (Saturday 3 August 2024).

Changed slicer from Lychee to Chitubox (under protest I must add) and the printing is working better. Joy.

Well there’s a bunch of Necromunda turning up today so maybe I should look back to previous projects and just finish one of them. Or even progress them a little bit. Sprayed another Stormcast gold.
