Monday

Hobbystreak day 135.

I fear this is going to be another slow week, but I really need to push on. I’ve started on another project, which is to catch up on all the issues of 2000ad on my backlog from my subscription. I can’t be that far behind can I? Oh wait, July 2021. Ouch. New goal: try and read at least one issue a day, preferably while outside sitting in the sun. It does make looking at the screen of my tablet a bit tricky though.

Hobbystream day 136.

Touched up all the purple on the cloaks and washed the gold.

Wednesday

Hobbystreak day 137.

More chipping away at colours. Started on the fur that one of them has on his cloak.

Thursday

Hobbystreak day 138.

Can I finish at least one model today? Depends how boring my meetings are (and if I can get away with having the camera off).

A care package from Japan arrived today with two (more) Zoids kits, so that’s more to go on the pile of unbuilt models for that. Spotting a pattern yet?

The thing about Zoids is that I only know the 80s UK cartoon lore for them so I’m mostly buying around the designs that were available back then. That at least stops my compulsive collecting urges.

Friday

Hobbystreak day 139.

Fresh delivery of Malifaux today with some nice looking models. The Tull core box is perhaps the least visually interesting, but the walking cannons are somewhat of a disappointing take on Boston Dynamics dog robots. The rest are pleasing humanoid characters that should be interesting. Next was Unconventional Tactics, which has the alternate master for that box which is a really nice looking model. It’s the other two models in that box that are really interesting though. They’re my next project after I finish these AoS models so I’ll get them built up soonish.
